Higher Education and the Common Core State Standards In Wisconsin

The Higher Education and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in Wisconsin LiveBinder provides higher education faculty with general information about the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). It increases understanding by increasing awareness of K-12 CCSS resources for faculty who teach undergraduate and developmental courses, increasing alignment between 2- and 4-year schools, ensuring a common language about baseline skills for transfer students, and providing guidance for adult and basic education institutions.  This resource also increases the ability of teacher education faculty to better prepare future teachers to teach the CCSS, bring awareness of disciplinary and mathematics literacy to all education fields, and provide additional resources for deeper learning around the CCSS.

Planning for Early Literacy Success

This module Planning for Early Literacy Success leads participants through the Intersections between WMELS and CCSS ELA.

Shifts of Common Core Standards for Mathematics

This Shifts of CCSSM module leads the participant(s) through the process of: evaluating the definition and implications of teaching for understanding; exploring the meaning of focus, coherence and rigor and how each impacts instruction; designing a mathematics lesson that takes into account focus, coherence and rigor.

Administrators and The Common Core Standards for Mathematics

The purpose of this LiveBinder is to provide Administrators with the tools and assistance to help with the transition of fully using the Common Core State Standards of Mathemtics.
